WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week
The US Peace Corps is seeking an individual for the position of SAFETY AND SECURITY ASSISTANT (SSA).
Under the Supervision of the Safety and Security Manager, the Safety and Security Assistant (SSA) provides administrative support to the safety and security program. The primary responsibilities of the SSA are ensuring security-related files are kept up-to-date; maintaining the Whereabouts reporting system; assisting in the analysis and reporting of security incidents; preparing reports, training materials, and other resource materials; and maintaining up-to-date contact information for local and national police, transportation, and consolidation points. In addition, the SSA will act as the back-up to the Safety and Security Manager (SSM).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: University Degree or High School diploma (or local equivalent) with 10+ years of Progressive experience.
- Experience: Minimum three years’ experience working in Safety and Security, Victim Support, or related field with demonstrated administrative support context. Experience in conducting training and giving presentations, in both English and a local language.
- Language: Good verbal and written communication skills in both French and English and be able to speak at least one Guinean local language.
- Computer skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook), and demonstrated ability to learn other computer programs.
